Airbus Aircraft Structure Repair and Maintenance Training - SRM Basic

Airbus Aircraft Structure Repair and Maintenance

Basic SRM Training Course

Course Code: AT-0006-00

32 Hours MS Teams Certificate Included

Course Overview

Master the essentials of Airbus aircraft structural repair with comprehensive training on damage assessment and rectification using the Structure Repair Manual (SRM).

This course provides trainees with the knowledge required to evaluate routine structural damage found on Airbus aircraft and determine appropriate rectification actions. It focuses on evaluation and repair methodology to be followed whenever structural damage is discovered during maintenance.

Through real-life examples of damages commonly found during routine maintenance, trainees will learn how to assess and decide on rectification actions using appropriate documentation, particularly the SRM, with support from experienced instructors throughout the learning process.

Since aircraft type rating courses do not adequately emphasize aircraft structure maintenance, this training program addresses this gap by equipping trainees with necessary knowledge and background to enhance confidence when handling structural defects.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Airbus Structure Repair Manual (SRM) is the official documentation providing approved procedures for repairing structural damage on Airbus aircraft. It contains repair schemes, damage limits, material specifications, and step-by-step instructions.

This course covers typical structural damage including dents, scratches, nicks, marks, corrosion, cracks, and impact damage on metallic components found during routine maintenance on Airbus aircraft.

Corrosion is the chemical deterioration of aircraft structural materials caused by environmental exposure. Common types include surface corrosion, pitting corrosion, intergranular corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
